Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Richard is a Marriage and Family Therapist. He graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He became a therapist later in life. Earlier in his career, he practiced law, spent several years working with college students as a university administrator, and spent a short time as an academic advisor to international students attending college at Mercer University.

Richard has a lot of experience helping people from all walks of life work through difficult issues. He believes that in order to be a good therapist he must rely on the patient to help design effective treatment options. He has experience helping patients that are living with depression and anxiety as well as grief and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He has also treated married and committed couples that are navigating difficult circumstances.

Richard is a pilot and spends some of his time pursuing aviation related pursuits as well as trying to fix old cars. He builds a lot of flying model airplanes and has ruined a couple of his wife’s dining room tables as a result. Richard and his wife both love animals and have spent many years working with local animal rescue groups.

Rate: $100/session
